The Student Action for Wellness (SAW) Grant empowers students in Grades 7-12 to lead projects that improve mental well-being, strengthen belonging, and create positive change in their schools. Whether it’s a kindness campaign, peer support initiative, cultural celebration, or wellness activity, students can bring their ideas to life through funding and support.

Grant Details

📝 Who Can Apply?

1. Mental and Emotional Well-Being

Support students to build resilience, manage stress, develop healthy coping skills, and strengthen mental wellness. Examples include:

  • Mindfulness and stress management activities
  • Mental health awareness campaigns
  • Emotional regulation skill-building
  • Digital well-being education related to technology, social media, and AI use

2. Social Connection and Belonging

Support students to feel connected, included, valued, and supported within their school community. Examples include:
 
  • Peer mentoring and support programs
  • School-wide kindness initiatives
  • Intercultural learning events
  • Student-led inclusion and connection activities

Up to $1,500 per project.

 

Funding can support:

✅ Supplies and materials

✅ Marketing and promotion

✅ Transportation or accessibility supports

✅ Guest speakers or facilitators

✅ Small equipment purchases

✅ Food and refreshments (up to 10% of the project budget)

 

We do not fund:

❌ Staff salaries

❌ School operating expenses

❌ Capital projects

❌ Fundraising activities

❌ Political activities
